A nice discovery today was a Great Grey Shrike at Stony Marl Moor which was viewable from the main Scarborough to Whitby road, the A171, on the right just after the turning to Harwood Dale.

In Pickering today just 7 Waxwings remained near the Co-Op on Eastgate at 11.10 this morning.

Wykeham South Lake hosted 2 Shoveler, 2 Goldeneye, a Wigeon, 6 Gadwall, 8 Sand Martins and a Swallow and Potter Brompton Carr chipped in with 21 Teal, 2 Wigeon, a Redshank, a Jack Snipe and 13 Common Snipe.

The Wigeon flock at Scalby Mills is reported to have dropped to 21 birds and nearby at Scalby Nab a female Goosander flew north.
