The
2cy Glaucous Gull was seen again at
Ravenscar today.
At
Crossgates 2 Ravens flew east at 09.10 and 3 Black-tailed Godwits went west at
15.55.
Potter
Brompton Carr produced a pair of Shovelers, 4 Egyptian Geese, a Little Egret,
an arrival of Snipe with 21 Common and 2 Jack, 32 Fieldfares flew east, a pair
of Willow Tits and a Willow Warbler. Meanwhile at Wykeham South Lake we had 2
Little Ringed Plovers by the life belt, 2 Goldeneye and 3 Sand Martins with 4
Pink-footed Geese and a Whooper Swan in the field to the south of the lake.
Some
popular long stayers still remained in situ including 8 Shore Larks at Long Nab, the Great
Grey Shrike at Maw Rigg, Langdale
Forest and the 2♂ Garganey with 2
Shelduck and a Redshank at Johnson’s Marsh.
Finally
a little further afield at Ellerburn there were a Mandarin Duck, 2 Goosanders,
a Green Woodpecker and a Tawny Owl.
