The
first Yellow Wagtail for the year was recorded early morning flying over
Peasholm and
the
first Whimbrel was also seen today flying north along the cliffs at Scalby
Lodge.
There
was a Sanderling on the beach in North Bay, 2♀ Goosanders on the sea off Crook
Ness and the ♂ Garganey was still
present on Johnson’s Marsh.
Another
interesting discovery today was a 2cy Iceland
Gull at Harwood Dale Lake, a 2cy Mediterranean Gull flew southwest over
Seamer Tip pool and a Red Kite went south over Scalby Main Road at 17.10.
Other
interesting migrants included a Swallow at Burton Riggs and 2 Wheatears on
Castle Hill tops.
