An
unusual sighting today was that of a Quail
seen in flight on the south side of Castle Hill.
A
cliff top field at Jackson’s Bay hosted a Wheatear and a Stonechat whilst in
the bay itself there was a Grey Plover. A little further south at Scalby Mills
we had 4 pairs of Teal and 11 Wigeon.
Ravenscar
today produced 3 Willow Warblers, Seamer Tip had a Short-eared Owl and on
Willerby Carr there were a Green Sandpiper and 2 Willow Warblers.
