2 Snipe, a Redshank, 2 Teal, 2 Shelduck and 4 Wigeon were at Johnson's Marsh early this morning. In Wykeham Forest there was a large flock of Bramblings, 4 Willow Tits, 5 or 6 Crossbills and numerous Siskins. The Hooded Crow remained with Carrion Crows near Scalby Lodge Pond, and at the motor cycle track at Seamer Tip there were 2 Barn Owls, a Buzzard, a Sparrowhawk, 2 Linnets, and 2 Reed Buntings. 2 Buzzards flew over Cayton village, and 2 more were seen heading towards the woods at the top of Limestone Road. A Treecreeper was observed going up each gate and fence post at the bridge near the Downe Arms on North Moor Road. A dark Skua sp. flew east along Valley Road with Common Gulls, and at the harbour there were 23 Purple Sandpipers and 32 Turnstones. 2 Nuthatch territories were observed at the northern end of Oliver's Mount.
