A Teal was at Seamer Tip this morning, and a Snipe was flushed from the mounds. A juvenile Sparrowhawk was observed behaving strangely, hopping around the vegetable patch in a Scalby garden (possibly looking for insect prey). The pairs of Shelduck and Grey Wagtails were again at Northstile pool, joined today by 4 Tufted Ducks, and briefly by 6 Mandarins. About 250 Common Gulls flew east over Spring Bank this evening.
