A "cream crown" Marsh Harrier was at Flotmanby Carr. At Seamer Road Mere a Pink-footed Goose, 6 Goosander, 3 Goldeneye and 3 Water Rails. The female Blackcap still in gardens at The Dene, Peasholm. 26 Tufted Ducks at Peasholm Park was an increase there. A flock of 38 Cormorants flew north at Marine Drive. 9 Purple Sandpipers were roosting on rocks at Cornelian ravine. One adult Med Gull was at Holbeck with 2 Great Crested Grebes nearby in South Bay. A better watch at Long Nab saw an increase in birds moving which included 560 Pink-footed Geese, 3 Common Buzzards, 88 Skylarks. A pair of Stonechats were around the observatory, the male giving snatches of song. 2 Goshawks were over Troutsdale. Lbb Gulls were back on their nesting roof at a factory in Eastfield.
