A Chiffchaff was at Woodall Avenue this morning, and a drake Eider was in the harbour again. The Hooded Crow was once again at Flotmanby, opposite the entrance to Lingholm Farm. At Wykeham South Lake there were 6 Goldeneye, 2 Chiffchaffs and an adult Little Gull. 41 Fieldfares were seen in the field to the south-west of Seamer Tip, while 12 Tufted Duck were at Seamer Tip pool and 6 more were on the newt pond at Burton Riggs. Several Chiffchaffs were at both sites. 2 Velvet Scoters, 1 Common Scoter and 2 Eiders flew south at Cornelian, and off the headland above Scalby Mills there were 4 Curlew, 12 Oystercatchers and 12+ Wigeon. A Peregrine flew over Crossgates and a Red Kite was spotted half a mile north-east of the A64/A169 Pickering roundabout.
