Sunday 25th September

 A WRYNECK was briefly seen in the pines at the north end of the ringing plantation at Long Nab this morning but not relocated. Four Snow Buntings remained at Long Nab just north of the Obs Five Pintail, one Sooty Shearwater and six Arctic Skuas (1S) and a first calendar year Yellow-legged Gull flew north past Long Nab and 105 Pink-footed Geese flew south. A single Redwing was at Scalby Nab and 12 Redwing and three Song Thrush flew in off the sea at Ravenscar. The Whooper Swan was at Seamer Road Mere and approximately 12 Swallows and six House Martins were at Troutsdale. 52 Wigeon, 27 Teal, 31 Mallard, eight Tufted Duck, one Gadwall and one Dunlin were at Wykeham East Lake this morning and a cream crown Marsh Harrier, three Common Buzzard, two Marsh Tit and three Chiffchaff were at Wykeham South Lake (Water Park). 30 Turnstone and two Purple Sandpiper were at the harbour this evening.
