Wednesday 14th September

 67 Pink-footed Geese in two flocks flew south over South Cliff this morning and two Northern Wheatear were on the rock armour around the Harbour along with 28 Turnstones. a further 95 Pink-footed Geese flew east over Pickering. At Wykeham East Lake this morning were 94 Lapwing, six Wigeon, three Great crested Grebes and a Blackcap  and on South Lake (Water Park) there were six Little Grebes, three Great crested Grebes, one Common Whitethroat, one Sedge Warbler and three adult Mute Swans with six juveniles. Highlights past Long Nab this morning included one Little Gull and 4,520 Razorbills north and one Common Swift, one Tree Pipit, 495 Meadow Pipit and 11 Rock Pipit south. Eight Sandwich Terns, five Turnstone, three Dunlin, 3 Curlew, 15 Wigeon and two Grey Herons were at Scalby Mills and a Great White Egret was at Wykeham East Lake late afternoon. A further two Great White Egrets were reported at Scalby Beck late this evening.
