Friday 19th May

 A female Red-backed Shrike found late morning at Johnson's Marsh was still present this evening on the hedgerow immediately to the west of the marsh. Also there today the pair of Shoveler, Coot still, a Short-eared Owl that left high SE, and a male Cuckoo. The Wrench Green Dippers are now feeding fledglings. The drake Garganey remains at Potter Brompton Carr, also 4 Ruff new in today (one male), drake Pintail, pair of Teal, Great White Egret, 5 Little Egrets, and a cream crown Marsh Harrier. At North Yorkshire Water Park a Common Sandpiper was on Trout Lake. A singing Turtle Dove in Harwood Dale Forest, plus a male Cuckoo.
