An unconfirmed report of a Purple Heron at Potter Brompton Carr (view only from Haybridge) this morning but no sign since. Also there 7 Little Egrets, Grey Heron, 5 Shelducks, 12 Ringed Plovers, Dunlin, 3 Greenshank, 2 Redshank, and the "cream crown" Marsh Harrier. Three Common Sandpipers and a Little Ringed Plover at North Yorkshire Water Park. A male Wheatear at the Castle Hill tops this afternoon. A Raven flew north at the Wykeham Forest Raptor Viewpoint, where two Honey Buzzards were seen, and up to 5 Crossbills giving close views. 70 Starlings at Long Nab (many juveniles have fledged in the district now). Two pairs of Willow Tits (one carrying food) Givendale, dalby Forest.
