Sunday 11th June

Two Red Kites flew west over Newby, and presumably the same two south over Crossgates 20 minutes later. The Dark-bellied Brent Goose was still with the Canada Goose flock at Seamer tip pool. A Hobby was hawking at Potter Brompton Carr mid-morning, also 7 Little Egrets, and a single Ringed Plover. A Single Crossbill flew south over town at Whin Bank. No Honey Buzzards reported from WRVP but a Cuckoo there. At North Yorkshire Water Park (East Lake) this evening; Ringed Plover, 2 Little Ringed Plovers, 2 Teal. Six churring Nightjars were noted at Derwent Head, Langdale Forest late evening.
