Migration watch; 07.25 - 11.00hrs and 18.15 - 20.15hrs.
An interesting morning at Long Nab with two more additions to the year list, although one was probably a long time coming!
On the move (north unless stated) were 1 Red-throated Diver, 25 Fulmar + 8 south, 22 Manx Shearwater + 6 south, 1 Balearic Shearwater at 09.40hrs, 1 Cormorant + 5 south, 4 Teal, 142 Common Scoter + 39 south, 70 Oystercatcher south, 1 Grey Plover, 10 Knot south, 4 Sanderling south, 2 Dunlin south, 1 Curlew south, 1 Turnstone south, 3 Arctic Skua south, 3 Great Skua, 2 Black-headed Gull, 13 Common Gull south, 41 Sandwich Tern + 22 south, 14 Arctic Tern south, 7 Puffin south and 1 Swallow south.
Feeding offshore in with the Kittiwakes were 20+ Common Gull, 30+ Black-headed Gull, 1 adult Little Gull and 1 juvenile Yellow-legged Gull.
Two juvenile Ruff and a Dunlin were present on Johnson's Marsh, 6 Common Scoter, 2 Common Sandpiper and 18 Lesser Black-backed Gull were on Wykeham South Lake and 3 Teal, a Shoveler, 3 Lapwing and 78 Swift were at Potter Brompton Carr (no general access).
