Migration watch; 06.00 - 12.05hrs and 20.35 - 21.05hrs.
A good day for wader movement at last with plenty past Long Nab and small numbers grounded.
Past Long Nab (south unless stated) were 1 Red-throated Diver, 9 Fulmar + 13 north, 25 Manx Shearwater + 1 north, 2 Cormorant + 3 north, 1 Shag, 1 Grey Heron, 5 Teal, 2 Tufted Duck + 2 north, 8 Eider north, 40 Common Scoter + 361 north, 1 Hobby, 27 Oystercatcher, 1 Golden Plover, 144 Knot, 13 Dunlin, 2 Bar-tailed Godwit, 16 Whimbrel + 9 north, 6 Curlew + 2 north, 22 Redshank, 2 Greenshank, 1 Mediterranean Gull, 105 Black-headed Gull + 595 north, 7 Common Gull + 2 north, 1 juvenile Yellow-legged Gull north, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 71 Sandwich Tern north, 7 Puffin, 569 Swift, 4 Sand Martin and 4 Swallow.
On Johnson's Marsh there was the Little Egret, 1 Greenshank and a Green Sandpiper and in Cornelian Bay there were 4 Redshank, a Whimbrel, a Turnstone, a Knot, a Common Sandpiper and 2 adult Mediterranean Gull.
