Migration watch; 07.30 - 12.45hrs.
On the move (south unless stated) were 1 Cormorant + 4 north, 1 Grey Heron, 81 Common Scoter, 1 Ringed Plover, 1 Whimbrel, 17 Curlew + 2 north, 31 Black-headed Gull + 27 north, 5 Common Gull, 5 Sandwich Tern + 5 north, 7 Puffin + 2 north, 405 Swift, 2 Swallow, 8 House Martin, 1 Sand Martin, 2 Linnet, 7 Goldfinch and 40 Siskin.
Elsewhere the third Quail of the year was heard on Jugger Howe Moor where 88 Black-headed Gull and 144 Herring Gull flew south, a Hobby was seen over Yedingham and 2 Green Sandpiper, 3 Teal, 4 Oystercatcher and 23 Lapwing were at Harwood Dale Lake.
