Migration watch; 06.40 - 10.40hrs.
An interesting morning at Long Nab, past there (south unless stated) were 2 Fulmar, 2 Little Egret, 61 Common Scoter + 20 north, 1 Kestrel, 1 Lapwing, 4 Dunlin, 1 Ruff, 1 Curlew, 22 Black-headed Gull + 23 north, 2 Common Gull + 1 north, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull + 1 north, 1 juvenile Yellow-legged Gull originally on the rocks off the Nab before moving north, 3 Great Black-backed Gull + 4 north, 2 Sandwich Tern, 5 Puffin + 3 north, 1 adult Cuckoo, 217 Swift, 49 Sand Martin, 1 Swallow, 1 Goldfinch, 49 Siskin and 18 Linnet.
Two juvenile Herring Gull were seen fledged in South Bay, the Scaup remained at Peasholm Park and 4 Teal and 3 Whimbrel were in Cornelian Bay.

Only the second breeding record of Great Black-backed Gull in Yorkshire (the first also being in Scarborough back in 2013) was confirmed with a female incubating at least two eggs.
