Migration watch; 06.45 - 11.10hrs and 16.30 - 19.05hrs.
On the move (south unless stated) were 1 Fulmar + 8 north, 3 Manx Shearwater north, 1 Cormorant + 8 north, 1 Shag north, 3 Mute Swan, 1 Teal, 12 Common Scoter + 80 north, 3 Lapwing, 1 Whimbrel, 10 Curlew + 7 north, 1 Black-headed Gull + 19 north, 2 Common Gull north, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 4 Great Black-backed Gull, 3 Sandwich Tern + 17 north, 2 Common Tern, 4 Puffin + 5 north, 525 Swift, 21 Sand Martin, 3 Swallow, 2 House Martin, 2 Goldfinch and 18 Linnet.
Elsewhere a Sedge Warbler was singing in Jackson's Bay, 13 Black-headed Gull and 6 Common Gull were at Scalby Mills and a Little Egret, 2 Egyptian Geese, 60 Lapwing and 3 Oystercatcher were on Potter Brompton Carr (no general access).


Herring Gull - Scarborough - Michael McNaghten. Plenty of young around the Town now.
