Saturday 26th November

 A Dipper was in Peasholm Glen early this morning and a drake Goldeneye was at Seamer Road Mere. A  mobile flock of 20 Waxwings, originally seen in Green Lane were seen by Thorpe's shop, Wreyfield Drive, Newby and continued to be seen between there and Green Lane during the day. A Waxwing appeared to arrive from the east at Long Nab and flew south over the Obs. A Great Northern Diver and an adult Mediterranean Gull flew south there. A Corn Bunting was seen at the cover crop near Long Nab Obs. A mobile Great Grey Shrike, first seen at Langdale Forest a few weeks ago, was again seen today at Derwent Head (SE 885 985). Gristhorpe Bay hosted 114 Curlew, nine Grey Partridge and two pairs of Stonechats. 165 Wigeon, 25 Mallard, four Tufted Duck, two Coot and a Goosander were in the Redcliffe Farm/Flower of May area. The Water Sports Lake at Wykeham Lakes held 50 Teal, 9 Gadwall, 20 Goldeneye, 8 Little and 6 Great Crested Grebes, 30 Long-tailed Tits and a Chiffchaff. 350 Lapwing were seen over Binnington Carr.
