Tuesday 24th September

 Highlight of the day was a FEA'S type petrel which flew NE past Long Nab at 08:54am. Also north past there were 5 Pintail, a Velvet Scoter, 3 Sooty Shearwaters, and a Hobby. Three Yellow-browed Warblers were present (Hundale, pipe gully, and Crook Ness), plus a Blackcap and Wheatear. Six Teal, Little Owl, Yellow Wagtail, Blackcap, 48 House Martins, 24 Swallows at Cloughton Wyke/Salt Pans Road. In nearby Sycarham Wood / Hood Lane; Blackcap, 4 Chiffchaffs. At North Yorkshire Water Park: Little Egret, 7 Dunlin, 11 Teal, 4 Wigeon, 10 Coot, 2 Water Rails, 35 Robins, 11 Chiffchaffs, Blackcap. Two Great White Egrets briefly at Johnson's Marsh before leaving north (also seen over Burniston), plus 44 Teal. At Scalby Mills; 23 Wigeon, Curlew, 3 Turnstone, 5 Grey Herons, Common Tern (south), and a Brent Goose (north).
