A Green Sandpiper and three Teal were on Johnson's Marsh this morning along with four Grey Herons and two Reed Buntings. Two Turtle Doves were at Malton Cote Farm and a pair of Spotted Flycatchers was feeding young at Wyedale Hall. Two singing Quail and six Yellow Wagtails were close to Hog Pasture building near Snainton. An adult Northern Gannet was on rock armour on Marine Drive this afternoon and a female Marsh Harrier was at Killerby just east of Cayton. Approximately 20 apparently occupied Sand Martin nest holes were counted at the Cayton colony.
