Thursday 2nd June

Honey Buzzards again stole the show today from Wykeham Raptor Viewpoint with four birds in the air, comprising of two males and two females, both males wing clapping in display. Two Red Kites just west of Wykeham Raptor Viewpoint this morning were probably the same two which were seen over Newby a short time earlier. Two Quail were in fields near Newclose Rigg, Dalby this morning and three Turtle Doves, four Garden Warblers and a Hobby were also noted in the area. A male Northern Goshawk flew east over Scar Wood, Harwood Dale this afternoon, a Little Owl was at Hutton Buscel and a singing male Reed Bunting was on the Castle Tops.
