Friday 3rd June
A Lesser Whitethroat was singing in a Scalby garden this morning and a Reed Warbler was singing at The Open Air Theatre. Four Honey Buzzards were once again entertaining birders at Wykeham Raptor Viewpoint where a Hawfinch flew west. 15 plus Crossbills, a Goshawk and Peregrine Falcon were also seen there. 160 Common Swifts were feeding over fields at Long Nab this afternoon. A Hobby flew over Wykeham Lakes and broods of Coots were noted at Water Park Lake and Causeway Lake. A Hobby drifted south west over Middle Deepdale this afternoon and three Nightjars, four Woodcocks and a further Hobby were seen this evening at Wykeham Forest.
