Thursday 9th June
A Quail was calling from fields near Fields Farm near Long Nab this morning and another Quail was singing from a field at East Knapton, found whilst surveying a square for the BTO Breeding Bird Survey. A Red Kite flew north high over Scalby Mills this afternoon and a female was seen catching prey at Cloughton Wyke. Approximately five Turtle Doves were noted in the Malton Coates area of Ebberston.
