Sunday 5th June
Only a few reports were received today owing to the rather inclement weather. The pale male and a dark female Honey Buzzard showed briefly this morning to the east of Wykeham Raptor Viewpoint from where three Northern Goshawks and seven Common Crossbills were seen. 48 Common Scoter flew north at Long Nab and two Teal were at Johnson's Marsh. Three Turtle Doves visited the feeders opposite The Mill Inn at Harwood Dale this afternoon. Three Oystercatchers with chicks were seen in fields below Seamer Tip Pool where a Reed Warbler was in song. Two Nuthatch fledglings were in Sweetbecks Plantation, Crossgates.
