A Kingfisher was seen at Scalby Mills this morning, a juvenile Yellow-legged Gull was following a crab boat off Long Nab, and 2 Golden Plovers flew north over Crossgates. This afternoon a Common Buzzard flew south-west over Peasholm and an Eider was on the sea off Long Nab. A juvenile Great Crested Grebe was in Cornelian Bay and 9 Sandwich Terns were feeding in Cayton Bay. At Northstile pool there were 3 Green Sandpipers and clouds of House Martins feeding overhead. The family of 4+ Spotted Flycatchers (at least 2 juveniles being fed by parents) are still around the Cockrah Foot area of Wrench Green.
