A Chiffchaff was at Long Nab this morning, moving along a hedge. At Seamer Tip pools there were 12 Gadwall, 2 drake Wigeon, 2 Tufted Duck, a drake Teal, a drake Shoveler, a Barn Owl, and just 2 of the young Mute Swans left with the adults now. 4 Great Northern Divers were still between South and Cornelian Bays, with a drake Eider also in the latter, plus 4 more flying south. A Little Grebe, 19 Tufted Duck, 5 Goldeneye and 3 Coot were at Seamer Road Mere. At Gristhorpe/Red Cliff there were 75 Oystercatchers, 5 Ringed Plover, 3 Grey Plover, a Greenshank and 3 Bar-tailed Godwits. A Great Northern Diver and 26 Red-throated Divers were in Cayton Bay, a Great Northern Diver was in the harbour, and 320 Feral Pigeons were over town. A total of 41 Red-throated Divers were seen between Blue Dolphin and Gristhorpe Bay, plus a Black-throated Diver at Gristhorpe where a female Stonechat was also present.
