Saturday 13th March
A Goosander was on the river near Hackness this morning. A Chiffchaff was in the cliff top bushes near the Long Nab observatory, where 5 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and 2 Eider flew north. A large number (100+) of mainly adult Herring Gulls were seen flying over the Dean Road area to North Bay. This afternoon 3 Great Northern Divers were between South Bay and Cornelian Bay, a Dark-bellied Brent Goose was on the rocks off Holbeck, and a pair of Eider plus 74 Wigeon were at Scalby Mills.
