Tuesday 16th March
2 Crossbills flew past Long Nab today, and a Crossbill and a Brambling were seen flying through South Cliff this morning. A Great Northern Diver was in the harbour and 3 were seen in South Bay. A Red Kite was seen over the Whitby road just south of the Flask, and 2 Goshawks and 2 Buzzards were above Hilla Green. A Red-throated Diver was in South Bay with 2 Great Northern Divers in the late afternoon. A Little Owl was in the walled garden off Great Moor Road, plus a bat (probably a pipistrelle).
