A pair of Goldeneye and a female Goosander were at Seamer Road mere this morning. 2 Ravens were feeding on a sheep carcass on Cayton Carrs before flying off north. A male Goosander and 6 Mandarins were at Harwood Dale Lake. At Wykeham South Lake: 12 Goldeneye, 24 Wigeon, 16 Teal, 6 Great Crested Grebes, 4 Little Grebes, 73 Coot, 21 Tufted Duck, a Kingfisher, a Marsh Tit, a Water Rail and 93 Great Black-backed Gulls in a large gull roost. At Long Nab a Short-eared Owl flew in off the sea, while highlights passing include 23 Little Auks (22 north, 1 south), a Black-throated Diver, 4 Great Northern Divers, a Long-tailed Duck, 3 Velvet Scoter, 4 Manx Shearwaters, 2 Sooty Shearwaters, 8 Knot, a Little Gull and 1300 Kittiwakes.
