5 Whooper Swans flew south over Long Nab this morning, as did 10 Brambling, a Goosander and 1270 Siskins, while 4 Goosanders and a Great Northern Diver flew north, a Woodcock flew in off the sea, and a Snow Bunting and a Twite were in the stubble. 2 Goldeneye, a Little Grebe and 6 Cormorants were at Burton Riggs. A Great White Egret was fishing just west of Folkton Bridge before flying west towards Flotmanby, and in the sheep field were a Little Egret, a Buzzard and 200+ Lapwing. 8 Whooper Swans, a pair of Goosanders, 6 Wigeon and 6 Goldeneye were at Wykeham South Lake, while about 600 Greylags, 2 Dunlin and 52 Lapwing were at East Lake, and 2 Bearded Tits remained in te north-west corner of the Water Park. Also at the lakes were 4 Water Rails and 4 Jack Snipe, while 80 Siskins and a Redpoll flew south. 400+ Pink-footed Geese flew west over Pickering, and a juvenile Eider Duck was close in off Marine Drive. 7 Mandarin Ducks were at Harwood Dale Lake along with 53 Lapwings, a Fieldfare, 5 Pied Wagtails and more.
