Highlights from Long Nab today include a Little Auk and a Snow Bunting flying north; plus 84 Pink-footed Geese, 3 Goldeneye, a Manx Shearwater, 3 Bramblings and 768 Siskins flying south. 2 Long-tailed Duck were on the sea in South Bay, and 70+ Pink-footed Geese flew south-west over Cayton Bay. A Water Rail was calling and showing at the Open Air Theatre pond, while 3 Goldeneye, 54 Mallard, a Little Grebe and 16 Moorhens were in Peasholm Park. 2 Little Egrets, a Snipe, 130 Lapwings, 3 Goldeneye, 8 Wigeon, 2 Teal, 6 Egyptian Geese (4 young) and 18 Cormorants were at Wykeham East Lake, while at and around South Lake there were 6 Whooper Swans, a Pink-footed Goose, 3 Goldeneye, a Stonechat and 2 Marsh Tits, plus 12 Siskins which flew over. A Great White Egret was seen at Yedingham this afternoon. A cc Marsh Harrier flew north over the A64 near Potter Brompton late afternoon.
