Monday 4th May

A Sedge Warbler was found grounded at Seamer Road Mere this morning, and at Johnson's Marsh there was a Spotted Redshank, a pair of Shovelers and a Buzzard. 4 Gannets flew past Marine Drive, and at Gristhorpe Cliff there were  2 Wheatears, a Whinchat and 2 Lesser Whitethroats. 4 Willow Warblers and 2 Wheatears were on Castle Hill, 3 Whimbrel were at Black Rocks, and a Red-throated Diver was in Cornelian Bay. 2 Shovelers were at Seamer Tip pool and 14 Tufted Ducks were at Burton Riggs. The Grasshopper Warbler was still at Scalby Nab, and another was on the cliffs at Long Nab, along with a Sedge Warbler and a Wheatear. Flying north past Long Nab were 4 Whimbrel, 3 Bar-tailed Godwits and a Greenshank, while 7 Eiders were seen heading south.
