Monday 25th May

At Wykeham South Lake this morning a Cuckoo, 11 Reed Warblers, 6 Garden Warblers and 8 Willow Warblers were heard singing, and 2 Barnacle Geese and 2 Egyptian Geese were present. At Long Nab 24 Manx Shearwaters, 5 Shags, a Sanderling, 2 Dunlin and a first summer Mediterranean Gull flew north, while 147 Swifts flew south and a Grasshopper Warbler was present. 2 broods of Stonechats, each with 2+ fledglings, were on the cliffs above Jackson's Bay this afternoon, while 2 Sandwich Terns were feeding in the bay. About 145 fresh Sand Martin nest holes were at Jackson's Bay and another 29 were at Cromer Point. 2 Spotted Flycatchers, 2 Dippers and 2 Grey Wagtails were at Hilla Green.
