The first Honey Buzzard of spring was seen near Wykeham Raptor Viewpoint today. A male Hen Harrier also flew east there this afternoon. At South Cliff 2 Barnacle Geese and 2 Ringed Plovers flew south. The watch at Long Nab was slow but 2 Common Terns and 2 Dunlin flew north. The Stonechat pair have fledged three young and the Grasshopper Warbler sang briefly just north of the observatory. A Reed Warbler was seen in bushes along Taylor Way near Seamer Tip. A Cuckoo was near Reasty Bank, Broxa Forest. The Pink-footed Goose remains at Seamer Road Mere. Another Cuckoo at Low North Camp where three Garden Warblers were singing, also Green Woodpecker and Spotted Flycatcher recorded.
