Wednesday 13th May

A ringed Gadwall X Mallard hybrid duck was at Seamer Tip pool today, and the Pink-footed Goose remains at Seamer Road Mere. A Red Kite was seen from Wykeham raptor viewpoint, and a Little Egret was seen at Flotmanby. 3 Wheatears and 37 Whitethroats were at Long Nab, where 4 Manx Shearwaters and 3 Red-throated Divers flew north. 2 displaying Yellow Wagtails, a Garden Warbler and 3 Crossbills were at Givendale, and at Harwood Dale Forest there were a pair of Crossbills, a Redpoll, a Linnet, many Siskins, more Willow Warblers than Chiffchaffs, 4 Whitethroats, a Green Woodpecker, a Buzzard, a Kestrel and a Garden Warbler. 3 Oystercatchers were at Johnson's Marsh, and last night a flock of Knot were recorded over Crossgates.
