Friday 19th October

A herd of 10 Whooper Swans flew north along the coast, seen at Knipe Point and Long Nab. (belated news of 6 flying south over Scalby yesterday). A good selection of migrants logged at Long Nab including 29+ Crossbills south. At Castle Hill there was a Yellow-browed Warbler and Blackcap on the north side. The Whimbrel was seen at Crook Ness. A Snow Bunting was present today at Long Nab.
