Thursday 11th October

A big arrival of migrants along the coast which included 20 Yellow-browed Warbler (8 Long Nab, 2 Scalby Beck, 1 Ravenscar, 1 South Cliff, 2 Cornelian Bay, 1 Holbeck, 5+ Castle Hill), 7 Ring Ouzels (3 Long Nab, 2 Castle Hill, 1 Ravenscar, 1 Scalby Lodge), a Hawfinch on South Cliff, a Shore Lark at Ravenscar, two Snow Buntings at Long Nab, 150 Brambling at Castle Hill, four Redstarts (2 Long Nab, 1 Castle Hill, 1 Cromer Point). Also past Long Nab were a Red-necked Grebe, Merlin, Mediterranean Gull, Jay, and 741 Black-headed Gulls flew south. 14 Dunlin and 10 Ringed Plovers were in Jackson's Bay. Red-throated Diver and Great Crested Grebe at the harbour.
