An increase in
Little Auks moving back north today. Two were photographed sat on the sea off East Pier then left north, a total of 31 were logged moving past Long Nab. Also past there a
Storm Petrel, Red-necked Grebe, 3 Sooty Shearwaters, a Great Northern Diver, 3 Black-throated Divers, 2 Velvet Scoters, 2 Long-tailed Ducks, 114 Eiders, 12 Pomarine Skuas and 3 Little Gulls. Marine Drive produced 4 Great Northern Divers, 4 Velvet Scoters and 2 Little Gulls. A Goldeneye and 2 Shovelers were at Seamer tip pool. Chiffchaff, Blackcap and Goldcrest at Crook Ness. A Chiffchaff in Old Town.
