An improvement in weather conditions resulted in some good sightings. A Dipper was at Scalby Mills briefly early this morning and a Grey Heron again frequented a Stepney Road garden. A quiet sea watch at Long Nab produced 40 Pink-footed Geese south and a Great Skua and two Lapwings north. At least five Short -eared Owls were in the vicinity of Seamer Tip Pools this morning along with a Barn Owl. A Great Northern Diver was still at Wykeham Water Sports Lake along with 13 Pink-footed Geese, a drake Goosander, 15 Goldeneye, 35 Wigeon and 62 Siskin.. A Woodcock, one Mistle Thrush, 22 Redwing, five Fieldfare and two Marsh Tit were at Long Causeway Road.
