100 Wigeon, seven Great Black-backed Gulls and a Bar-tailed Godwit were at Scalby Mills this morning. Male Blackcaps were in a Cayton and Stepney Road garden respectively and a Red-throated Diver, Little Grebe, Razorbill and Redshank were in the harbour. 250+ Lapwings were in fields east of Sawdon and 52 Fieldfare were at Sawdon Balk. A Woodcock was south of Seamer Tip Pool. Approximately 60 Brambling were in beech stand at Little Dale, Dalby Forest along with 29 Common Crossbill. A Velvet Scoter flew south at Long Nab and a Sparrowhawk arrived in off the sea from the the east and continued south. Single Water Rail, Merlin and Golden Plover and approximately 60 Fieldfare were at Flixton Carr and a female Shoveler and four Little Grebes were on the nearby River Hertford.
