Thursday 1st December

14 Waxwings were feeding on Green Lane opp St Joseph's RC Church.  A Great Northern Diver was off Holbeck this morning where five Mediterranean Gulls and a Chiffchaff were present and a Red-throated Diver was in the harbour. A Kingfisher was again at the Open Air Theatre. A Chiffchaff was at Burton Riggs, a Water Rail was at Taylor Way Pool and eight Teal were at Seamer Tip Pool. A Black-throated Diver flew south at Long Nab and seven Whooper Swans, six Gadwall and a Little Auk flew south. 64 Red-throated Divers flew past Long Nab (both ways) and a Chiffchaff was at Cliff Top House. The Russian White-fronted Goose was again with the feral Greylag Goose flock at Harwood Dale Lake along with 108 Wigeon, 14 Teal, 10 Mandarin Duck, one Whooper Swan, 62 Lapwing, one Jay and five Fieldfare. 10 Collared Doves were again by Harwood Dale church.
